Dog Friendly B&B in Brixham

Dog Friendly Guesthouse in Brixham

We are a dog friendly guesthouse in Brixham and are delighted to have once again been approved by

Visit England for the Welcome Pets scheme for 2016 - 2017.

I'm Bess and I will be 15 in December. I'm a black cocker spaniel who lives at Raddicombe. I love swimming, walking, boating and greeting guests to the lodge.....Watch out for me in the garden especially when there are biscuits about .......but remember I'm on a diet....!!!!!

If you bring your dog with you and are staying for 4 nights or more ask for your free copy of the local walks booklet that provides mapping and walking information covering 6 fabulous local walks.

We welcome dogs to Raddicombe Lodge as the local area offers a wide variety of walks that we are sure you and your dog will enjoy. For advice on local walks and dog friendly beaches, please ask at reception. Ask about the route to the local fields where dogs can be fully excercised plus a walk down to our local beach Man Sands....both are straight from the back gate of the lodge!

We want to ensure that both you and your dog enjoy your stay with us and hope that the following information and guidelines will prove helpful.

Dogs are allowed at Raddicombe Lodge entirely at the discretion of the owners of the lodge. You should always check about bringing dogs at the time of booking your accommodation.

We reserve the right to refuse any dog entry to the lodge and the right to request that owners remove any dog from the premises at any time during your stay, if the dog is deemed to be a nuisance to other guests or has caused any damage to lodge property. We make an additional charge to dog owners for any cleaning or repair that is deemed beyond normal wear and tear.

Dogs are charged at £7.00 per night for one dog and £12 per night if you bring 2 dogs. And don't forget that if staying for 7 nights the 7th night is free.

As we are sure you are aware, dogs are not permitted in the conservatory dining room during breakfast and are not to be left unattended in the bedrooms. Many dogs can be distressed by being left alone in an unfamiliar room. They can disturb other guests by barking and some have been known to cause damage....so for your dogs sake and other guests we have adopted this policy. Most guests leave their dogs in their car whilst having breakfast...and when the weather is fine we are more than happy to serve breakfast for you on our terrace, deck area or garden (see image on the left).....so that you can have breakfast with your dog.

When the summer beach ban came into force on May 1st it didnt mean that we had to leave our four-legged friends at home. Some of the most beautiful beaches in South Devon are dog friendly every day of the year. Just remember to check tide times with us as some of these natural coves can almost disappear at high water. Here's some of our favourites:
