Walking the South West Coastpath?

Here's why you should stay at Raddicombe Lodge.

Raddicombe Lodge has once again been approved by Visit Britain to be part of the Walkers Welcome scheme. We are also recommended by the South West Coast Path Association.

Devon walking holidays are based at Raddicombe Lodge which is located just 2 miles from both Brixham and Dartmouth in South Devon. The lodge is situated close to the South West Coast Path which leads to tucked away coves, harbour towns and estuaries - some of the most superb scenery to be found anywhere in Britain.

We are also close to the River Dart Trail which leads alongside the River Dart from Kingswear, via Greenway and Galmpton towards Totnes. Plus we can suggest 7 of our favourite walks based from Kingswear. The later being circular routes around coast, river and village.

The lodge is also just a short journey from Dartmoor, where you are spoilt for choice by the many varied walking opportunities, from the open moorland to picturesque river valleys.

Devon walking holidays offer self-guided walking holidays. We provide encapsulated plans of local walks, maps and walking guides and lots of free advice on gentle scenic village and riverside strolls to more adventurous moorland or coastal walks.

April, May and June are our favorite months for walking.
Glorious carpets of bluebells and their heady scent, new born lambs running in the fields, walking at this time of year leaves you with a feeling of fresh vitality. What a great time to enjoy walking here in Devon. So why not take advantage of our 4 nights for the price of 3 offer during April. (exc. Easter Weekend). Just £111 per person for a 4 night midweek B&B stay. Great value!!!! We would also suggest walking breaks in September when the summer rush is over. The coastline scenery is still full of colour at that time of the year...so highly recommended.

Individuals or Walking Groups.

We welome individual walkers, couples, families and walking groups of up to 20 people who can book the entire lodge. For groups of over 10 we can provide evening meals, plus we are licenced so you can enjoy a drink in the evening!

Call us for details of what we can provide. (01803) 882125.

“A very good B&B in a great location.”5 of 5 stars

All B&Bs should be like this one - run by attentive owners with an eye for detail and a concern for the needs of their guests. Kay and Graham were superb hosts for our party of fourteen over four nights. They provided dinner on two nights and recommended good places to eat in Kingswear and Brixham. We ate at The Ship and No15 respectively and travelled to both by bus. The breakfasts in their light and airy conservatory were excellent and we enjoyed post-dinner drinks in their comfortable lounge. Raddicombe Lodge is definitely on the revisit list. April 14.

"A walking delight"

We are regular walkers and only found this guesthouse recently. The owners are keen walkers themselves, they know all the local walks and are only to happy to give good advise when asked....Raddicombe is close to a good number of varied walks, villages, rivers and coastal....superb for a few days or even a full week of walking".
