Wonderful stay as always

A welcome return to Raddicombe Lodge, greeted by our host Penny. Made to feel very welcome and at home. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a well stocked hospitality tray which we were asked daily if we required anything replenished. There is a wide selection of choice for breakfast which was plentiful and beautifully cooked and presented. Sad to leave but will definitely be back.

Perfect for our short stay

Kids don’t lie right ! My 8yr old granddaughter says it was the best breakfast ever ! We were visiting local family, and the position of the lodge is perfect for exploring the local area .

Excellent stay

Stayed for two nights at this gem of a B&B with our small dog. Penny was a great host and she provided a fantastic breakfast on both mornings. Lovely sea view from the bedroom and we would highly recommend the property for anyone thinking of visiting Brixham.

Stay at the lodge

We stayed for one night, good quiet location, we slept well in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was enjoyable with fresh seasonal fruit and creamy yogurt followed by soft scrambled egg. We would stay again.

Very welcoming B&B

Five of us stayed here whilst walking the SW coast path and were warmly welcomed. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast great so absolutely no complaints. For anyone walking the path, Hillhead is aptly named!

Great stopover with great local tips

We spend a night at the Raddicombe Lodge before heading to our next destination. We enjoyed the nice atmosphere. The room was tidy and nicely arranged and we had plenty of space for a family of 4 with 2 big kids. The breakfast was prepared with a lot of attention and was copious. Penny and her husband where really kind and gave us useful local tips to go dinning on the night of our arrival. Could have stayed longer.

Delightful B&B

It was a pleasure to stay at Raddicombe Lodge for three nights this past week. If you want to stay in a lovely B&B, in a peaceful location with great access to all that the Riviera has to offer, this is the perfect place. You do need a car but it is only minutes from the centre of Brixham and Dartmouth. It was immaculately clean, and the rooms are spacious with modern bathrooms. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and there is a god choice. I had something different every morning. I couldn't fault the service and Penny and Neil are the most welcoming hosts. I was travelling with my small dog and he was also very well looked after :-). I would definitely stay here again.

A dream come true

Our one week stay at Raddicombe Lodge was the most relaxing and delightful experience we could have wished for. Our hosts have 1st class understanding of hospitality, accommodation & the environment. The location is within a short drive by car to Dartmouth ferry and other interesting sights. We highly recommend it to everyone.

Fabulous

A very pleasant two night stay at Raddicombe Lodge. Lovely surroundings and views. A great range at breakfast and plenty of room indoor and outdoor to relax. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. A few things in walking distance, but you would need transport to get around the area. There is a bus stop close by. Well worth a visit to Dartmouth and Berry Head.

Homely, comfortable stay

A wonderful, warm welcome greeted us. Room 8 has a beautiful sea view and comfy double bed. Tea and coffee making facilities were complimented with delicious packs of biscuits and the little bowl of sweets was a personal touch. Breakfast was superb and plentiful! We would highly recommend this gem of a b & b in a great location for all local beauty spots!

Denise Elaine Gable on 11 Jul, 2022

A great place to stay

Penny & Co were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Comfy clean rooms and bathrooms, topped off with quality breakfasts that more than set you up for a whole days exploration. We would happily stay there again. Manoeuvring in the small car park is tricky, but there are spaces along the entry way if you pull into the side tight enough to let others pass.

Warm & Friendly Couple, Clean & Comfortable linens/ Decor, Breakfast amazing. As a regular to the area and driven past so many times, stayed in a few B&B’s in the area but you will not be disappointed here. Wish I tried it sooner. Thank you Penny & Neil

Lovely quiet Accommodation

Lovely and clean accommodation set on a hill about a mile and a half from Brixham Harbour and well placed for most resorts in and around Torbay area. The accommodation has a good selection of rooms from singles to family and also allows pets which was a bonus for me. A good breakfast at the time you want sets you up for a good day's exploring of the coast. The host penny is nice and helpful.

Friendly, Professional, Old School Service with a Smile

Friendly, Professional, Old School Service with a Smile. Really happy we found this B&B online. As my title say's, We were welcomed in with a smile and given a good induction of the facilities within the house. The room was clean, plenty comfortable for our needs and well equipped, the iced bottled water was a nice touch. Breakfast was really harty, nothing was too much trouble. Various bread, milk, food option to cater for everyone's needs. The home-cooked English breakfast was to die for! Parking might be tight for larger vehicles. WIFI worked well in the room and was of good speed. Easy access to Dartmouth and both ferries. Happy to have 3 persons of adult age in the same room which can be hard to find in the UK. Will try to use this site again when in the area. Thank you for your Service.

The perfect getaway

My husband and myself stayed for 4 nights in room 7 which had a sea view, and we were very happy with it. It was a nice comfortable bed with beautiful soft, quality bedding. The towels were nice and fluffy too. The breakfast was a delight every morning, with the best fresh fruit salad I have ever had!! Again, all ingredients on the plate were beautiful quality, thick bacon, gorgeous sausages. Our hosts were so welcoming, warm and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We definitely recommend a stay here, as it is also the best location to visit all different places. Thank you.

Such a thoughtful, wonderful place to stay

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. From the quality of the breakfast, to the cleanliness of the room and the little extras considered for our four legged friend everything is done with care and love for the property and guests here. Penny and Niel are wonderful and really do look after you. The food is outstanding and everyone is so attentive we really would not fault it. They welcomed our labrador as part of the family and there were towels by the front door for when you come back from muddy/wet walks to help dry them off before coming in which was very thoughtful. The room was so comfortable and clean and the little bits and bobs left in the room for us to enjoy was really welcome after our long drive. Would highly recommend and intend to stay here again if we are ever back in Brixham. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our perfect weekend in Devon

Great location, cozy rooms, incredible breakfast, very friendly hosts. We’re definitely coming back to stay again. Had room 5 which was spacious, comfortable and has an amazing view of the garden, the fields and the sea. We loved spending time in the garden, not just to have our breakfast but also to relax either during the day or in the evenings. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Our dog enjoyed her stay too and we loved the scenic walks on the fields nearby. It was a perfect stay at a perfect location. We’ll be back.

Fantastic relaxing break out of season

We returned out of season between Christmas and New Year 2018 knowing we could relax - and start our days with a great breakfast. A really great breakfast. We arrived tired and scratchy from working hard right up to Christmas morning, then left Raddicombe Lodge rested and refreshed ready for 2019. It is a beautiful and peaceful area, close enough to Brixham,Dartmouth and good dog walks such as Berry Head. Rooms are a good size and housekeeping as with all aspects of our stay discreet and efficient. Thank you Graham and Kay for being the best Hoteliers we know. Truly.

We stayed here with my very elderly mother. Graham and Kay were wonderful hosts with Graham being most attentive to my mother - nothing was too much trouble. Terrific views from our rooms; a light and airy breakfast room (the breakfasts were delicious) and a comfortable lounge. Set in a great location, just a very short drive to Brixham and Kingswear. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend it to those who prefer to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busy towns.

Another lovely stay

This is a lovely place to stay just outside Brixham and 10 minute drive from National Trust Colton Fishacre. Doggy friendly, we had room 7 which has a great view across the fields to nearby Brixham and the sea. It was foggy last night so we could lay in bed listening to the distant fog horn on the coast (not loud or anything to keep you awake, we could only hear it with window open) we had one nice breakfast sat outside on the “lookout” which was so nice in the morning sun. The next morning it was fog so we had it in the bright and airy conservatory. Our room was nice and clean , quiet and comfortable. A nice touch is the proprietors give you a little thermos of fresh milk if requested instead of the UHT milk cartons, which never taste as good . A couple of packets of biscuits are provided as well as tea and coffee and hot chocolate in our room. Wish we were staying for a bit longer as we had such a nice time, but work interrupts and the guest house was closing this weekend

Home from Home

2 night stay, large clean room with lovely view and everything we needed. Breakfast excellent, freshly prepared and very tasty.
Nothing appeared to be too much trouble from the hosts, be it directions to nearest dog walk, dog friendly places or any other query. After a long journey, within minutes of arriving supplied with a pot of tea, without having to ask for it, lovely touch.
Hope to return in the future.

Very hospitable hosts and an enoyable short break

Gill and I booked for a two night stay on 7th and 8th August. A great location for travelling to the centre of Brixham , Dartmouth and the surrounding area. Graham was very welcoming on our arrival taking, time to explain the house rules ad facilities and also carrying our suitcase to our room. The room was as described at the time of the booking and relective of the information provided on the website. The room was clean and sufficiently spacious with facilities that made our stay very comfortable.

Both our dogs Keiko and Chenko were made equally welcome. There was a great choice on the breakfast menu including cereal, fruit, juices, salmon and the usual full English/Devon and the food was of a good standard. Both Graham and Kaye took the time to hold a conversation with us at breakfast - a great start to the day. Graham also kindly offered Keiko and Chenko treats so they didn't feel left out! We were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed breakfast in the great outdoors.

On our first night, after a long day out and about, we spent the evening on the outside decking enjoying a glass of wine.
